Following the site visit conducted this morning with Cllr T Gillias, County Cllr A Warwick, Parish Clerk and Craig Thompson of Highways
The issue arose that the footpath to Monks Kirby which was requested to be hand dug has actually been carried out this morning with a jcb, resulting in the evidence of much needed repair work of the path. These repairs will be carried out later today and tomorrow, so the path is impassable during these works. It has now been widened for a quarter of the way along. The remainder of the section is to be hand dug at a later date. The WCC have advised this whole stretch will be added to planned future works once funding becomes available.
The drains throughout the village will be jetted and cleared and the two manholes on Coventry Road that are sunken will be addressed shortly.
